What Amber didn't think about was the fact that Indigo still had his mighty shaft at the ready to catch the blow. He is however brought on one knee in an attempt to hold the blade away from his head. He spends a few moments grunting as he thinks about what he should do to get the sword away from his bit and quickly decides on pushing up and to the side to knock the blade away before bringing the downward facing end of his scythe towards Amber's side. This however is a ruse as he lets go of the end and follows through by dashing at her shoulder first to knock her over when she tries dodging.

The sword and scythe collide as intended but something doesn't happen. Indigo stays on his feet despite the force put into the blow. He sends the bladed end towards Amber's face while one of his legs shoot out to trip her since they're in tight quarters. It may also be her imagination but she could almost swear Indigo is growling.

Kyle's mother is a portly woman with pale skin and light red hair. She's currently wearing a pirate outfit with a wooden cutlass at her side. Kyle's father is very tall. He's muscled but not overly so, his skin is tan and his hair is black. He has a five o'clock shadow and his hair is in a short ponytail. He is wearing a pirate outfit as well, although his has the long leather boots and what appears to be an actual knife on his belt. Finally, Kyle's sister looks to be about a year younger then him with similar traits to him. She's dressed up as a pirate and is currently asleep. Kyle opens the door for the othes gesturing to the large back seat.
"Try to squeeze in back there... oh, uh, mom, dad, these are my friends. They need a place to stay tonight because their parents couldn't pick them up for various reasons."
Kyle's parents look over the group before sigh. They shrug before speaking.
"Alright. Do you kids want McDonalds on the way to our house?"
Kyle's mother looks in the mirror.
