Then they'll be old friends then, since Kyle would be stubborn enough to stay in contact with her. But nothing more than that. Maja can take a lot more than Kyle can give after all, and all of that giving isn't going to change/strengthen their relationship that much.

In case it isn't obvious, I sorta want Kyle and Maja to stay together, but I can't really think of any good reason why that'd happen. Maja's too scared of being restrained and too young to stay in one place for very long for things to work out. I was hoping that you'd have some good ideas to resolve this dilemma, actually.
Kyle could go with Maja. That's a thought.

Or Maja could find a huge horde in the city and get it with Kyle's help and they end up staying together with Kyle being able to use his job to keep Maja out of jail and Maja letting Kyle stay with her so long as he doesn't go into her horde room.

It's not about being a tough man. It's about taming a dragon and keeping them in a happy, healthy, long-term, relationship. Definitely not the easiest thing in the world, especially since Maja isn't going to talk about any problems until it becomes too late.

And he's been taking great interest in it. After all, he did meet that one woman with the chainsaw a while ago... In any case he's just having a drink and seeing if anything about it pops up.
