But why would he seek out social interaction with people he knows largely dislike him and his ideals? The simple fact of the matter is, he just feels better as a NPC than as a proper character.

"Such a pretty horse... You like me right? Not like everyone else. You wouldn't just up and hate someone you met only a few minutes ago. You make much more sense. Everything you do has a... reason..."
John pauses as he seems to think of something. After a great amount of thought he finally goes back to what he was doing.
"Yes... Nature isn't needlessly cruel. It's exactly what everyone should be like... Maybe... humans aren't the ones that need protecting... they're the ones that should be protecting..."
