Mitsurugi, Dani and Joan

Joan takes up the side opposite Dani, giving Mitsu a pat on the shoulder and a smile as Dani just shrugs, also smiling at the goddess. "Aw hell, it wasn't nothing to do with us, I just told you where we'd been. But I am glad you're happy with it... But I'm sure you didn't just want to look at it from afar right? Why don't you go out and explore, we could accompany you if you want even. Try and track down anyone you wanna see again maybe?" Dani turns to face Mitsu as he waits to hear what she has to say.

Mitsurugi, Dani and Joan

Mitsurugi would be alone to take in her home for several minutes, first as the pair let her go ahead through the portal intentionally (Dani had to put a hand on Joan's shoulder to get the idea across). Then for a few more as Dani had to climb up the shrine, finally being pulled up (it was mostly Dani) by Joan who used him as a platform to get up first. The pair stand there silently for a few moments more, even Joan not wanting to interrupt what was surely a powerful moment for the goddess, before Dani approached, quietly clacking over the tiles to stand next to Mitsu. He takes a minute to gather his thoughts, before he finally speaks. "I take it that it's how you remember for the most part?" He says in a neutral tone, not entirely sure if this was a joyful reunion or a sad realization for the woman he'd just met essentially.

Dani flinched slightly as Mitsurugi's eyes landed on him again. He felt that he had made a minor miscalculation in revealing all this but... it was possible that this could make the strange goddess happy, and that was a rarity in his work. "I'll be honest, I'm not entirely sure myself but, if I might borrow an idea I've heard before.... Perhaps it's due to a "close enough" timeline or something of the like? Basically the idea is that in the greater universe there's an infinite number worlds, so we happened to be on one similar enough to your own.... Now, I doubt they could remember your if they truly died on your world but... It could be a good opportunity to get some closure?" Dani finishes with a question, not entirely sure what Mitsu would want to do with this information but trying his best to help.

Dani and Joan, Mitsurugi

Dani leaned back slightly as Mitsurugi fixed him with an intense gaze. He almost wished he had been wrong because he'd clearly triggered something in her. "Uh... I think her name was Shiki something? Shiki Eiki? I think the Komachi lady who took us across the river knew her as well, had the kind of look you don't get unless you're intimately familiar with someone. Uh, you might also know the Yukari woman who brought us here? She uh.... I can't actually describe her but she was something." Dani scratches the back of his head as Joan pouts slightly at the description. "Uh, if I didn't know any better I would have thought she was a god but she clearly didn't match up despite the power.... I'm sorry, I'm probably not helping you at all am I?" Dani continues to awkwardly scratch his neck as he lists the people he met to Mitsu, hoping something he said was of use.

Dani and Joan, Mitsurugi

Dani shrugged, stepping closer and silently gesturing to the opposite side of the table for permission to sit. "Probably didn't unless I somehow passed you by on the way here but uh... You're pretty distinctive. Anyway, I'm Dani, the sweetheart who follows me around in Joan." The aforementioned "sweetheart" gives a wave and then a polite curtsey to Mitsu, clearly the one more well versed in decorum of the pair. Dani continues after giving his partner a little smile. "But yeah, we arrived here just a bit ago. Turns out Lord Death has a contract with one of your friends and we got picked to help out with the trespassers... or kishin or whatever. I'll be honest, it seems like the only difference is scale.... Anyway, you can basically think of us as part of Lord Death's personal assassins. We hunt down evil doers, I kill them, and Joan eats the soul. Quick and simple." Joan smiles brightly at the mention of her half of the job.

Arminius is silent for just long enough that one would wonder if he was purposely ignoring the question, before finally shaking his head, seemingly at his own indecision. "Pardon me, that kind of slipped out. I can assure you that even before the demon lord's rise such actions were considered an abomination, and it was only among the most radical of zealots that even the most unshakable," Arminius says the word with a derisive snort. "Heroes would sooner end than allow stand. But then they took control of the central kingdoms, managed to whip the people into a fury over the "corruption" of several of their Heroes and Heroines that continues to this day. Anti-monster sentiment had always been strong there as the monsters there were generally feral, outside the more docile ones which were tolerated.... I'm dancing around the point." He sighs deeply, shaking his head again, this time in disbelief. "I just don't want you to get the wrong idea of my world. It used to be peaceful, but.... Things changed and it weighs heavily on me at times. Could we perhaps talk about something else?" Arminius looks tired as he makes his request.
