Bio: Daisuke was born in the kingdom of Amatsu, his father a decently successful ferrymen who ferried all kinds of cargo up the Sanada. The fact that he was born a Misaki came as a surprise, a pleasant one that ensured he got what he wanted, sometimes at the expense of his siblings. From a young age though, he dreamed of being a defender of justice and peace, traveling the lands and righting wrongs. Which is why despite being the favored child he often went without the things he wanted for, especially if it would mean ill for his siblings. When he was old enough to learn a trade, Daisuke went to join the army. He saw it as the best way to attain his goals of becoming a hero and fighting for justice. In a way, he was correct.
Daisuke joined the army as a simple foot soldier but he quickly stood out to his commander for the speed at which he picked up new techniques and the rigor with which he trained. However, it wasn't until a fateful battle where he pulled him out of the way of a horseman intent on trampling his commander under his hooves that he truly earned recognition from the older man he'd come to idolize as a hero, especially after learning of his gnosis. While the commander didn't think Daisuke was fitted well for command, he did train him on the side, teaching him to use a sword. It would come to pass that this wasn't enough, at least for Daisuke. A fateful battle with bandits left most of their unit wounded and in a bad state, but it wasn't until the Shiryo came that it turned into the massacre that would haunt Daisuke for the rest of his life. The Commander gave his life fighting the Shiryo as the only one with a Gnosis, but it wasn't enough as the only survivor was Daisuke. As he held his commander's body, hiding from the remaining Shiryo the man he'd come to love handing him his sword, his Gnosis hanging from pommel of the blade by an elegant cord. Daisuke was trapped for weeks without food in his hiding spot, but finally was saved.
Following this experience, he left the army, traveling to learn as much as he could about being a hero. He wandered as a warrior, righting small wrongs and honing his skills but still never finding himself satisfied until he'd stayed around to defend a village from bandits that'd been extorting them. There were more than he'd expected and everyone had thought he'd died until the sword he'd been left impaled on lopped off the leader's head, the bloodied and half broken body of the warrior still standing only by his own will as the color of his gnosis filled in silver. The other bandits broke and fled, which was lucky as moments later Daisuke collapsed. Lucky for him, there was an apothecary in the village, who managed to save his life. When he woke up, his healer was gone, and after some time to fully recover, he left as well, refusing the gifts the villagers offered. He continued to wander, making a reputation as "The Twice Dead Warrior", his scared body and signature two sword style striking fear into the hearts of any villains he met. Most recently, he'd taken to traveling with a young healer named Rin, who he offered his services as a bodyguard to try and repay his debt to the one who'd saved him in some small way.
