Arminius thinks for a moment. He hadn't really considered how long the demon king's reign had gone on, wasn't a very important subject for him at any point. Taking into account the existence of Automata and the fact that they apparently were just like that when found though.... "Oh, it's been a couple thousand years at least. I mean, I don't think there are even any elves the remember how things were before her reign. As for her role.... Well, she's like a higher god. I think it's something to do with the title? But whatever it is she's powerful enough that she changed regional gods in Zingpangu and her children, the Lilim, are able to turn regions of the world into Demon Realm. Nice places, you should visit if you get the chance."

IP's expression was again one of curiosity, and, after taking a moment to process all the information, asked, "If I may... where do the Automata fit into all of this? Do I appear somehow similar to them?"

Arminius's response to this takes far less time as he turns to address IP. "Oh yeah, I mean, it's mostly broad strokes like being humanoid uh... automata. Anyway, they're machines built by an ancient and highly advanced civilization. Normally they don't do much but if they get shocked they turn... aggressive. Met a guy with one as a wife, very polite girl, non-lethal armaments only type, made it funnier when she took out an attacking platoon by herself while extracting the pair." Arminius chuckles a bit at the memory.

Tomomi shook in his metaphorical boots at the thought of having to fight someone even the Souban wasn't completely sure about. It explained why he was there, if the Souban was as desperate as he said (it didn't sound like much but the fact he was willing to admit it said the true depth to him) then Tomomi had no chance here. He nervously glanced towards the entrance to the alley, to salvation and safety. He could still walk away from this, he was sure the Souban would honor his word.... But the longer he looked to the exit, the more it looked like a trap. After all, he'd been beaten up before, the pain was temporary. Even when things went a bit to far one time and he'd ended up with a broken arm he'd recovered. It was only the shame that lingered, and wasn't that why he joined up? To be able to look at himself in the mirror with pride? The thought stilled him. Yes, this was a fight he knew he'd likely lose but if he could feel just a little bit of pride in himself....

Tomomi swallowed and quickly stepped forward before bowing to the Souban.
"Thank you for the opportunity Souban-sama. I will do whatever I can to be of service to you."
And just as quickly he steps back, coughing once into his hand as the burst of courage leaves him and he internally cringes at what he just did.

Arminius shakes his head. "I said ghouls used to have special a special method. Namely eating flesh, which is out of the ordinary for undead as they typically have some method for taking in mana as their main method of sustaining themselves." After a moment to let it sink in, Arminius continues on. "As for the demon king, a long time ago the old demon king, no idea what he was exactly but it was presumably some kind of capital D Demon, was usurped and the new Demon King took over. She's a type of succubus, they're demons that absorb men's spirit energy through...." Arminius proceeds to explain the process in excruciating detail, leaving out no details about the typical process and giving examples of some unique methods of finding donor's employed by monsters even in more civilized society. He even gets into a small tangent about something called "Wonderland", the details of which are sparse but from the way he talks about it is a place he both fears and loathes in equal measure.
