From his dead body, he fathers his own child, which for obvious reasons is 100% identical geneticaly. Since the soul is still so close and can not distinguish between the two bodies, Kyles soul just enters baby kyle.

Also, I will mention that, since it probably won't come up, Kyle doesn't believe in actual gods. Just powerful people who get pissy when you say they aren't gods.
