The sarkaz considers the question for a few moments before shaking his head. He figured if she was implying what he thought, she'd find out as soon as she asked anyone else about his weapon anyway. "No, I took it from somewhere else." Of course, it was easy enough to figure that when he said "somewhere" he actually meant "someone"; but it likely would avoid questions if someone else happened to hear.

The sarkaz obviously could tell that something was up as the snap sounded, dropping into a more defensive stance. Unfortunately that only made it easier for the small infiltrator to mount him. His hands leapt towards her own but stopped short as he felt cold steel meet his throat. He's tense for a few moments, as he prepares to hear some kind of demand or to feel his neck slit. But when it doesn't come, he looks back towards his attacker, trying to get some idea who it is until finally he manages a glimpse of the sword on her hip. Finally, he relaxes slightly as he lets his arms drop. "You know, there's easier ways to say hi that don't risk both parties getting hurt.... But I suppose that wouldn't be fitting for someone from Kazdel, eh?"

With the bulk of the work taken care of, and a similarly large presence in the room, Velimir thought this would be a good time to bow out. "Hm, I don't know if a skull and cross bones exactly gives off the right impression, but I'm not design expert. I trust that you guys can go over the basics of spear wielding without me, so I'm gonna go. See if anyone else is coming to investigate and head them off you know?"

With that, The Sarkaz departs to The Halls.

Velimir nods. "Well, technically I suppose so, but morale is still a benefit on a battlefield... Or at least that's how this one person I knew justified having engravings on their weapons. He was a twat though, so he might have just been making shit up." The demon shrugs, though he does look somewhat amused at the memory.

The Sarkaz nods apologetically raising a hand to the base commander. "Yeah, yeah, it was just a slight weapons malfunction! Everything's fine now.... Want to help get Espresso properly equipped?" Velimir gestures to the Cuatus hoping to steer the conversation away from trouble.

Velimir watched the bit of the line that Fox placed down curiously, glancing back at the cat woman from the corner of his eye until the detonation partially deafened him, causing him to cover his ears as he backed away from the explosion a step. He took a few moments to recover from the ringing in his ears before he first looked at the now gone piece of the cord, before looking first to Myrna before finally his gaze came to a rest on Fox, who he quickly moved to assist after her unfortunate meeting with a weapons rack. "Holy... are you okay?"

Velimir nods, looking over the string intently for a few moments before speaking his conclusion. "Doesn't look like normal string or wire. Some kind of arts focus then?"

Velimir looked where Fox pointed briefly before letting out a small "Ah!" and nodding. "That's my weapon. Don't know where it's from or how it was made but it's a shield that converts into a great sword when you pull the lever on it. I was doing my daily matainence on it before you came in and was just putting it through it's paces. The gears are still a bit tight, can tell because of the whine when it switches, but otherwise the old girl is still in top condition. Just added some oil to the gears and it should be fine."

Unless she was of incredibly perceptive hearing, Fox would likely note that she didn't notice a whine. But of course this would also be the first time she's been in contact with the weapon in this form at least so it shouldn't be surprising.
