As far as I know if you're going to start an arc with Amy GWG you're already beaten to the punch.
Also I mean Irons in the fire as many plots.
I agree, the world is scary and bad at times. However I feel that if it can have beautiful vistas as well as horrible people by the boat load it must balance out some at some point.
