A glowing comes from below the window followed by a slicing noise and a thump. Then a curse from below the window followed by Keith decked out in green clothes walking up stairs and procuring his rope.

So, just an idea for how GWG could introduce Keith's powers, Keith is an American and never studied Japanese so maybe Keith instinctively initiates telepathy with someone who does so he can communicate.

Keith sighs and since at this rate none of you will do the job for me he ties one of the nooses around his neck, attaches it to a sturdy object and then jumps out the window ending his miserable existence. (At least until something I already cleared with Elf happens.)
