Ian seems to not think what he did was weird as he lean back in his seat casually.
"So, why are you here Alanis?"
He'd probably note that it's an odd name if it weren't for the fact that his name is rather odd, interms of pronunciation.

Ian waits impatiently. If she really is what she says why does she even need to ask them?

Ian blinks.
"... if my guy is right? Probably in a different timeline. I however haven't met you unless you're into well dressed men in clubs taking you home."

Ian blinks. As far as he knew, despite the amount of apartment buildings around, no seemed to JUST live in this city.
"Huh, so do I coincidentally. Though, I actually came here for a reason."

Ian for his part wanders around a bit observing the decor. Really he's trying get a fel for if the food will be shit, but there's no reason for anyone to know that. He pauses as he walks by the scowling woman. After a moment of thought he speaks to her.
"Do I... know you from somewhere?"

You say that like it isn't something that'd be near the top of the list for missionary work.
