And so he waits for the skeleton to march inexorably towards him. At least until it's a few feet from the other grate. Then he can just walk briskly around it to check out the only other exit.

Could have tied it around the suit. And you never mentioned any of that anywhere which makes it kind of unfair to just suddenly mention this after I've died because of lacking this knowledge.

Oceanus curiously goes over to the sheath not as intent on magical knowledge as Morgana apparently is. He turns to the dog, then looks back to the sheath.

Oceanus follows after the dog, having no time to waste on things like whether this is a good idea or not. Which should really be expected. We're talking about the guy who tackled a gate after all.
