The two stop talking and turn to look at each other. They look back at Gozer and without warning, he's mostly stuck in a tree. Great success.

Kyle chuckles at the image.
"And I doubt I could politely ask a leviathan to join me without getting some important bits eaten."
After about ten more minutes of walking the group happens upon a wall of trees. A literal wall of trees, as they can't get through. Walking around to the right they find a door with two of the centaur women from before gaurding it. They look quite confused at the sudden presence of the group as they start whispering to each other.

As they leave the paladin shouts after them.
"Don't let doubt stop you on your quest, it will all work out in the end!"
Weird. But that's par for course with religious people living deep in the woods isn't it? As they're walking Kyle checks the tablet.
"Dave says that while we're doing this, him and the pirates are going to the north pole to... fight the leviathan? Cool."
Looking to the sky, the group would note that it's around noon. As they venture further in they note that the trees are becoming thicker and the forest is getting darker. It's kind of unnerving in a way.
As they leave the paladin shouts after them.

"I mean... He's more the third or fourth one if we're counting the angel and the elf... And the golems..."
The paladin gestures for Gozer to stay there for a second before rushing off. After a short bit he returns with a black gem.
"Here, put this in the altar when you make it and I can assure you it will feel Nyx's presence."

Kyle seems to teared up a bit. He goes to the paladin and tells him the story. The man looks hard faced and considers something for a few moments before speaking.
"Hm... if you're seeking that... Then I have information that will be valuable to you. Recently, another paladin came through, a dreary sort. But that's not important. He was also seeking the relic you want. I'd be on my guard if I were you."

The man nods and leads the group down into the temple, making sure to note to her that it is in fact still day outside, which would sound weird until she looks and sees that it is about midnight from what she can tell. He talks about how, after the magical resurgence, many old gods tried to expand their followings, especially minor gods who had a more level playing field that ever before. The one he serves, Nyx, set up a temple here, offering a place for those who dwell within the night to stay permanently and leave to anywhere where it is night. However, over time people forgot this kindness or were killed for one reason or another, leading to the slow deterioration of the temple. The words ring true, with rotting beds, molding pillows, and creeping vines being featured in each room at least once, but more for the most part. The tour ends in what must be a church, with a casket in front of the alter.

The man leans his head on Dackly's shoulder. Now that she can see his face, she would note that he looks a lot like Dave. It's really weird.
Kyle looks up the writing for a few seconds and narrows his eyes at it. He rubs his chin before his companion smacks the back of his head.
