SkyflameBackground: Through Melindas blood curses a heritage older than can be traced with accuracy. It is only with the reapparance of magic in this world, and perhaps fate or random circumstance, that it has manifested thick enough to be noticable. Doctors worldwide were unable to answer the question how her natural body temperature of 50°C is not killing her, until a breakout eventually had occultists, rather than doctors, take a look at her. Her draconic nature instantly attracted attention - all the wrong kind of attention. Her father already being a general in the US-Army, it was only natural that all this...talent did not go to waste, as Melinda was shaped into something monstrous. First in the middle east and africa, then against the layar, Melinda has seen many armed conflicts, and took it about as well as any sixsteen-year-old would take it. Her overly callous behaviour that at can hardly just be called tomboy-ish anymore and gallows humor is nothing more than a coping mechanism, as nights are restless and times of peace only feel...weird. Like you don't really belong here, you are just pretending. How can you just walk away from all that? But she did, and currently is trying to cope.
