Utilize our charisma to convince this being that we are a friend of Ser Spicious.

It is actually the truth, after all.

At least convince the guard to wait for Ser Spicious to come here. He is more likely going to defend us.

General Discussion / Re: Advice on an Electrical Project
« on: March 14, 2016, 06:53:42 pm »
I tried this with a lawnmower battery once. Melted the gun and the wire, nearly set myself on fire. Electricity is not my friend.
...Sounds like fun! :P

Anyway, thanks for the help, everyone! I think Ohm's law there should fix this problem; if I just put a variable resistor into the circuit before the gun, I should be able to simply adjust the amperage by the inverse of the resistance without affecting voltage, right?
And if I do that, I'll just be decreasing the amps, so it should be safe to just plug right into an outlet without the whole "undoing" thing I mentioned, I think?
If that all works the way I think it does, then it looks like I'm set! I'm not actually making it until spring break, which is a couple weeks away, but I'll be sure to post an update here when I do!

In the third installment of my drawing, I have attempted colours.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
:v colours are hard. Does anyone have any colouring advice? Especially shading. It looks like there's not nearly enough contrast, but whenever I try to do more contrast, it just looks bad. Also, on the face there, I sort of tried to dither the shadow, because it looked a lot like porcelain or something with just smoothly blended edges. I can't tell whether it looks good or not though.
Thanks for all the previous pointers all you guys, they're really helpful!

General Discussion / Advice on an Electrical Project
« on: March 13, 2016, 09:16:26 pm »
I'm attempting to do a science experiment for a high school Physics class, and the idea is that I'll make and electromagnetic pipegun and then test how the projectile speed varies with current applied. Unfortunately, I've never done electrical stuff before, and know not very much about it :P This is further complicated by the fact that the gun gets plugged into a wall outlet, and I don't want to mess up my house's wiring or whatever.

So, I guess my main question so far is, how would I safely change the current without changing the voltage? And if anyone has any general electrical safety/working tips, those would be awesome too!
Spoiler: Extra Information (click to show/hide)
Thanks in advance!

But we're EVIL. Can't be just be the antagonist? Get some betrayal, make Ser Spicious a worthy protagonist?
"The tale of a knight who must fight the forces of darkness, who betrayed him, pet his fish, and turned his fish into a finger-biting psychopath."

I'd watch that movie.

We're not EVIL, we're CHAOTIC. There's a difference. I'd love to play a chaotic good in a very lawful world.
I agree with Chromatic; chaos=/=evil. I dare say those dudes hunting the innocent chaos creatures in the greenery probably aren't very good people, but they serve order nonetheless. Chaotic good FTW!
Also, I believe we originally decided on Order, not Chaos. That's why Ser Spicious tested us, to see if we really were orderly. I guess we lied to him but then became just order-ish enough to trick the test? Sounds like something a being of chaos would do!

:)
I will continue work with images. I wanted to show different characters, as it happens at dwarfs.
Awesome! They're really good, and I'm super excited to see more of them!

It looks like the king is incompetent and vain and the prophet is a warmonger.

Obviously Berlie should be the new king. Not any of these other clowns.
Save Berlie!

It might be best to have Ser Spicious present when we try his block puzzle. Something tells me he might enjoy watching someone else try something dear and near to his heart. But I am also curious about the fish!

+1 to Fish examination!
Sounds like a good call, +1 to waiting until Ser Spicious is back before we attempt the puzzle.

Rest, then try playing with the block puzzle.

-shing!-
:D Thanks for the critiques, yo! I didn't get much more done on it, because Krita decided that I wanted it all flattened into one layer (which I definitely did not want), but I think I at least got the hand/arm fixed up a bit.

As for the tophat, now that you've mentioned it, I decided it looks cool and I retconned a reason for it! Just like the guy wearing it, it's only barely possible, or maybe a little bit impossible, but it exists nevertheless. Thanks for pointing it out, though!

A work in progress of a Time Travelling fellow. He'll be off to save the Universe if I ever get time to run the game I made around him!

If anyone has advice or criticisms of this, that would be super helpful!

I am The Ashen.

I, as a creature of Fire and Death, take the form of a freakishly tall, skeletal man, burning and charred. I possess orange, burning eyes, and my breath distorts the air around me with a jet of searing heat.

Good luck on this game, Snallac! It definitely looks to be an interesting start.

We cannot go back to the old ways.  Surely we can be more than what we were?

Tell Ser Spicious the truth of what the Spider said.  Ask for help.
+1, also tell him that the temple hurt us.
+1 to the action, but I think we should wait a little bit before deciding if we want to support the light or the dark. Maybe we can bring the darkness back.

+1 to Gilly. I think we may wish to follow her advice. That's a fact that says she's going to do it whether we like it or not. O.o
Meet the king.
