... Why not just kill the Pretender? It makes like ten times more sense and solves the problem entirely. Your bro's fallen in with the wrong crowd and for once it's up to you to bail him out!

Genius. +1.

But... this plan involves exactly 0 grandmothers being kidnapped! I'm not sure I can support such a thing.
Alternatively, we could go kidnap the Pretender's grandma and ask her about tips on assassinating her grand(son?).

take her hostage.
+1. gOTTA FINISH WHAT WE STARTED, George
+1. Tell her you're planning an assassination and ask if she has any advice.

This is of course after you climb through a window or, if there aren't any, bust down the door.

Your contact...'s grandmother! So we can take her hostage, and be extra sure of their loyalty.
+1. Maybe she'll sympathize with us and give us some wise grandmotherly advice on assassinations.

((This game is great so far :D))

Yes of course, please excuse me.  Go to the top of one of the taller dunes and scan each direction for signs of civilization.
+1 to this.

Considering the doors are flat against the wall, they don't offer much cover, but that doesn't stop Kar from trying.

The orange charges into the room swinging its blade, and Ola meets it with a raised shield. Its first strike breaks the shield, but doesn't harm Ola. With no shield left, Adi decides that attacking is probably necessary, and fires on the orange. The gun's beam (apparently it shoots lasers) connects solidly with the attacker, who fades from existence upon being struck. Its sword clatters to the floor.

The other orange in the main room heads off to the green room, disappearing through the doorway. A third orange enters the room and just waves at the green who is still somehow on the ceiling.

Before anyone can react, the green Projection does some sort of crazy acrobatic leap and somehow ends up standing on the ceiling. You edge forward a little to see where it went, and Adi tries to talk to it: "Erh-- hello there? Friend, or... or foe?" There's no immediate answer either way.

Something else quickly grabs your attention though: an orange projection sprints out of their door and runs towards you with a sword in hand. You're not sure what's going on there: either it's running from something in its own room, or it's charging at you, or perhaps at the green Projection. Another orange, this one with a gun, hops out of the room and onto some blocks in some sort of double-jump manoeuvre - it jumps again while in mid-air.

Ola bravely stands its ground, readying the shield to protect itself and the others from this possible threat. Kar melds its sword into its arm so that it could extend the arm rapidly and stab with the blade.

With the help of Shook, Zombie Urist, and Maks, I got my tablet up and running, so hopefully I'll be posting some cool tablet arts in the near future. For now, here's some first attempts at using it:

If anyone's got tablet arting tips for me, or just constructive criticisms in general, that would be awesome!

Ola takes the shield and moves to the door, checking it for opening mechanism.

Adi tries to strike up a conversation with the others, but finding its (perhaps her, it thinks?) faltering voice ignored, Adi elects to try and help by raising the gun to cover Ola as it tries to open the door.

Kar takes the remaining item, the sword since Ola grabbed the shield. With all the Projections a little ways away, the farthest circle goes descends back into the floor.

Ola's hand bumps something on the latch and the door beeps and slides open.

It reveals a green Projection just reaching for the lock on the other side, as well as a much larger room than the first. Across the newly-revealed room, they can see another green Projection standing by another door. This door seems to be heavily damaged, and as you watch, the Projection casually tears a chunk of the solid metal locking mechanism off and goes back into the room.
A third door on the opposite side also opens as you are watching.

Well, the surface is already dominated by mushroom clouds, so... Make the mushroom clouds grow and reproduce! Like actual mushrooms! They'll release more nukes as spores. Oh and give them the potential to become sapient, at least nuclear explosions won't die from nuclear holocausts.

+1. Maybe fiddle with the coefficients affecting nuclear blast energy yields so that they don't crack the planet apart.

Take a backup of the universe before doing anything.
+1. Always good to have a backup.

Well hey, it's not like those hoomans were a great idea anyway. I mean, nuclear Holocaust? Silly hoomans. Since you're so pressed for time though, maybe you can just reuse some stuff from their Universe to save some time. Those "solar Systems" they were living in where pretty dope. Gotta say though, they would've been way better if they were inhabited by... Giant Space Whales! Yeah, those'll get you a good mark.
Take a Solar System and put some Giant Space Whales in it.

Looks like the support for Krita is overwhelming. From the website, it looks pretty cool, so I'm downloading it now! Thanks for the advice all, not to mention the encouragement, because my first attempt definitely did suck :P.

I just got this new drawing tablet for Christmas, and it looks pretty awesome :D. Unfortunately, I have no idea what I'm doing, so I was hoping some of you artist folks could help me out. It's a Huion H610PRO Pen Tablet.

I've already got the drivers installed and it's working and all, so that's a start. My main question is, what program should I use? For mouse-drawing, I've always used Paint.net, but the tablet has this fancy pressure-sensitivity thingy, which doesn't seem to do anything with Paint.net. Any recommendations?

Also, since I'm too newbie to know what I don't know, as they say, general tips on using this sort of thing would be really helpful too.

Thanks!

Ola and Kar investigate the other glowing circles. They reveal their contents to be a sword in one and a shield in the other.

Adi picks up the gun and inspects it. It has a trigger and no place to insert ammunition. Huh.

Ola goes to examine the boxes. It determines that they appear somewhat translucent and solid throughout, but not too heavy for their size.

This doesn't stop Kar from attempting to pry them open for any possible loot, but even after shape-shifting a large talon, it is unable to even scratch their glass-like surface.

Adi carefully steps on one of the circles, then jumps back as the circle spins and shifts and the section rises out of the floor, revealing some sort of storage space. It appears to contain a gun.

Kar, Adi and Ola step out of the pods.

What do they do?
