on the topic of making an indoor fortress, remember that human wagons can use ramps now, so even the trade depot can be build inside

wellll excuuuuuuse me please
at least with all the stupidity in us we at least managed to read the full tread before posting, unlike you who tries to tell him that demons will come out way after he was already attacked

what, no spirits of fire ? no tentacle-demons ? not even ordinary demons ?

just the boring frog-variant ?

would have been much more fun if they were at least the dangerous ones

sorry if I have to spoil the tread for everyone, but the "cake" dwarfaholic is talking about is possesions, as in strange mood possesions

it happens very often that dwarves that work in the glowing pits (mostly hauling I guess) become possessed and create artifacts

the downside is that a possesion mood doesn't create a legendary skill, and if too many dwarves go possessed chances are many will die because you lack the materials/workshops

well, since you are all so interested, i will make yet another fortress

I am currently generating a new world, once it gets down i will keep an eye out for good places.

But I am not really for the cursed shipwreck, since I have baaad memories from my last try to get through an aquifer

No, all you care about is your precious research. Have to find out what makes the land tick now dont you. Now what research can you do. No fort, no research.

Sorry about being rude in the above rant but I was trying to take it from Kiras point of view. Anyway, great ending. We all charge out and get kill by zombie camels. Gonna try for a third fort. I would like to join that one too if you do.

axes on treeless maps sure are very useful

also, from Akroma's point of view, all goods were already packed by Kiras group
it was him who led the fortress (being major etc) research and all that relates to it was done by akroma alone (he even was the only one with animal hauling, so that only he carries the cages)

that being said, I think I will wait with new community fortresses for a while, I seriously need to improve my skill in not-dying

also, with Akroma dead I need a new plot
just a decendant would be kinda lame
