((for those of you not involved in the current drama, there IS a city nearby that you can explore for personal interest or to get a job or something. also there's still the Messenger Path to look at. lots of pilgrims, so you could join a tour or practice pickpocketing or chicanery~

Or Clate could use you to further his crystal agenda~ Or, hmm. Thre's always DIving INTO a sphere to explore.
Or crafting.

I don't recall if the Bore crew has any particular outstanding requests that need filled.))

Let's go orbit the weird bug planet, see if we acn locate a nice space rock to drop soemwhere - preferably somewhere not on the heads of any bugpeople. then, we'll go down and celebrate meteors with them! And tell tehm I am running for president of space, and they should totally become my loyal subjects.

Wet, stagnant, and natural are homely feelings. Continue on, looking for a more watery and glumpy sort of place. Stay near Tara in case she gets worried that she hasn't fed anyone enough snacks lately, but only if she doesn't turn around and had back toward the cold metal place where people don't want you firing randomly into the absolute, unnatural blackness.

AsHul sits quietly, hands clumped in his lap, attentive to questioner and questioned. He titls his head in similar fashion to Nyw, though in a much more awkward, wobbly way.

Non Magic Action: Take the students boating. Lecture on the delights and dangers of contractual magic. As Homework, require each child to develop a practice contract, that they will bring to me. I will role play the being with which they seek to contract, and will respond as that being would. Make sure failures are felt most painfully. Also, make sure each of my class sessions has an excellent shared meal. Food is important to a growing body, mind, soul, and community.

The ship's controls kick in, and you dodge the incoming giant boulder. The ship goes into evasive maneuver mode though, so every movement is accompanied by zigs, zags, janks, sudden dives and hard acceleration, rattling bones and making ears ring. Multiple weapons fire at odd intervals as well. Occasionally the display lights up with some explosion or acknowledgement of a strike, but the ship flies out of the chaos unharmed. When the dust clears and everything returns to calm, you discover that you are still in the giant castle courtyard, but a fair distance away from the low building you were in. nothing else seems to have changed.
