*Snivle...*
I could not get any dwarven slaves in the embark screen, and had to settle with 100 trolls. I do not know why, I just did it.

Also, I have version 4. If I download 5, will it be compatible, or will I have to start a new fortress?

Well, I don't use any other mods.
Anyways, I'll create a new world once I get this adventurer killed.
I'll report the results as soon as I get it.

EDIT: Nope, nothing again. Either something's wrong, or I'm just unlucky.

Okay, thanks. Sorry for not reading properly.

EDIT: I did what I was told, created a new world with the newest DF version and tried to make an adventurer. No dice. What did I do wrong?

Specifically, I:

Added the .txt files,
Created a world,
Noticed I didn't have the newest version,
Downloaded it,
Added the .txt files to the newer version,
Created a world,
And then tried again.

So, what did I do wrong?

Umm... I'm still a little green here, so...

Do I need to make a seperate file for the hornet stuff, or do I just stuff it somewhere?

Thanks.

And to be honest, this 10-numeral system isn't exactly the best possible either.
We would be better off with one with 12 numerals, as counting for example fractions would be easier (as 12 is divisible by 2,3,4 and six compared to 10, which is only divisible by 2 and 5).

Noo! Why did she harm the poor fuzzy animal? Why?   :(

You mean he's not braindamaged otherwise?

The real question is, who doesn't?

Umm... this is pretty dead, so is it okay if we abandon it?
I wanna play with my adventurer again.

Well, he only had one leg, and was constantly going unconscious, so...
I think he's still in the cave.
But that doens't matter.
He is weak. The weak deserve no more than death.
IT IS BETTER TO DIE FOR THE RACEPROPHET THAN LIVE FOR YOURSELF!

"28th Moonstone, 1053

As I had been wounded, we elected to go to Barbguise and rest our wounds.
However, this would be no ordinary visit.

The plan was to go in, recruit some people, sleep a little, and then return.
When we entered the town, we found it in chaos. The reason, horses. A dozen of them.

You though I was going to say spiders, weren't you? WELL, YOU THOUGHT WRONG.

The horses closed in on a lonely child. I counted six in the pack nearest to us, while the rest were beating the helpless infant.

I told the others we should chase the horses away. They made low grunts sounding like "Duuuuhh...". I think they have breathing problems.
TO BATTLE!

We've been fighting for some time. The others, however, have done nothing. Even while Imp was being attacked, he just watched, and did nothing to harm the animal.
I fear they have been struck by elvegitis.

We finally chased the horses away. I count the casualties as three horses, one child and one shopkeeper. The Shopkeeper shall be mourned.

On the positive side, I got a new axe!
A horse was fighting a guard, and had gripped the axe with it's... grippy things. I wrenched the axe away, and cut the horse in half!
Luckily the guard had received a pretty bad blow in the head, and didn't remember his previous ownership of my new axe.
Sucker. Forgetting stuff is for... what? Oh yeah, losers.

Oh yeah, we also found the Maceman we were looking for, the one with the missing leg.
Why is it "with a missing leg"? Shouldn't it be "without a missing leg"?
Whatever. The important thing is, we now have two Macemen with only one leg. Now we can make them dance!

That reminds me, we haven't seen Bullion for some time...

PS: The Maceman said he would join my group if I led him to fame and death.
He is also a victim of cave spiders, them having reduced him to his current state. In this respect, we are quite similar.

He wants to die. I don't.
We are connected by spiders.
We are similar.
He shall die for me, so I shall be immortal.
HE IS MY SACRIFICE TO THE SPIDERS.
THEN I SHALL NOT FEAR EVER AGAIN!

And the glory we shall have, Maceman...
With your death to protect us, we cannot be stopped.
Yes...

Oh yes, Imp was also wounded, being kicked three times in the right arm.
Now he can't use a sword, the sucker. That'll teach him to not defend himself, stupid sufferer of elvegitis.

End of entry."

Umm... I think I should report a bug, now...

I went to Barbguise to recruit more people (namely the one-legged maceman).

However, the city was attacked by horses, 10 of them. They killed a child and a shopkeeper before I drove them away. I point out the "I", as my comrades did nothing to help me, with Imp doing nothing even while he was being attacked.

Also, can horses wrestle? It seems they can.

Hey, somebody cared enough to bump this! I'll probably add an entry once I get home.

I see.
So if you lick a frog, that's poison, but if a spider bites you, it's venom?
