I'm still holding a torch for Breakfast Princess.
I don't think Finn should have a love interest. The kid should just go around having adventures with his mutant dog brother. That's just my opinion though. People on /co/ seem to want to ship him with Breakfast Princess, Marceline and Bonnibel last time I checked. Gets a little creepy after a while so I don't bother going there much anymore.

"Said with humorous, clever/cheeky intent."
If he was trying to make a joke it kind of went over my head.

So, from what I am getting... Passive learning.
No, it's more along the lines of "practice makes perfect". If you want to get good and creative with something you've got to do it a lot. Eventually after you cook for a while you might come up with something good.

Hi everyone, thank you for the replies

Ill definitely try all of them out and keep you guys posted. It will take some time to find some stuff to do since I live in a town which is comprised of mainly old people in florida. The only hobbies that they have are shuffleboard and sleeping.

Wish me luck!

So wrapping up what I got from the above posts I need

- to go where people meet up

- find a casus belli to start a conversation

Casus belli is the justification of an act of war. Also I wish you luck on this endeavor and hope you make some good friends.

Eh, I think that was tounge-in-cheek.

I don't know what you mean by "tongue-in-cheek", though that's likely just an Autism thing on my part.

Life Advice / Re: The Generic Computer Advice Thread
« on: September 02, 2013, 12:27:26 am »
My current card is a ATI Radeon HD 4350.

Also, can everything be explained to me like I'm 5? I don't actually understand much of the computer terminology.

Thanks again.
Well, since my kid just turned five, I'll give it a shot.

The first thing you should do is find out what motherboard you have. The type of card you can buy depends on the slots you have on your motherboard, as well as its actual physical size. You need to look for PCI Express [number]. That will tell you what kind of video slot you have available on your board. For the most part, you should look up individual benchmark numbers for the card you're interested in. Some cards are actually better for things like cryptography than graphics. Generally, the higher the price, the better the performance, but after a certain point, the video cards are going to stop getting better at what you want them to do, and start getting more specialized.

How do I find out what motherboard I have?

You can either do a search for the make and model of the computer you have or you can use a program like Speccy, which will tell you just about everything you need to know about your computer in most cases. You may find Speccy here.

So I made it to Safe Haven in a beat up station wagon with a broken arm and a broken rib and with my best friend, my fictional younger sister, one of my fictional girlfriends, and Sirus dead for various reasons. Then some asshole asks me to gather fuel tanks and I get mauled by a zombie.

Watched LP.  May want.

It's pretty good though I'm kind of burnt out on it for today. If you liked Oregon Trail or you like zombie-themed survival horror games I'd recommend giving it a look. Works on my old Compaq from 2001 by the way so just about any machine from then on out can play it.

Magic: The Gathering is a game I used to play a lot on Friday nights, back when planeswakers were brand-new, but I've been playing since around the Ice Age edition. Never won against anyone except my younger brother though so I don't play it too much anymore.

In fact my cards are in storage at my mother's place, if they still exist at all. She can't find them anywhere and I kind of wanted to start collecting them again. It's fine though. I might as well buy a new starter deck and perhaps go from there. Either way I've had some good times with Magic: The Gathering.

At Vietnam tech, is it better to keep manufacturing guns or to buy/make tanks?
Tanks, but wrong thread.
How is it that I keep mistakenly clicking on a thread that is related in subject, but not actually the one I wanted to click on?
Happened 4 times today. I didn't catch myself this time though.
Your mind might be elsewhere. It happens to all of us. No need to worry about it unless if you're like me and it's because of some kind of dissociative state. If it happens like that then you should seek medical attention. Maybe you just want to play a game with tanks and Vietnam right about now?

Yeah, the slow cookies are kind of annoying - I have just under 99 million cps and it still seems really slow.

I've got around 100,000 cookies per second and it seems very fast to me. Perhaps my perception of time is off or perhaps I pass the time by watching my heroine in Godville or by browsing forums and imageboards. I'm not all too certain as yesterday and the day before I thought it was Sunday and today I thought it was Monday.

Once again thank you Sirus. I just got done with my first playthrough of Organ Trail: Directors Cut.

Thanks for the information. I appreciate it. Question though, around what time do you start seeing the option for Elder Pledges?

You have to have one of each type of granny (having 5 of each other item, then buying the upgrade that unlocks). That will unlock a bingo hall that researches further granny and total percentage upgrades. The last one unlocks the Grandmapocalypse. Once that's started you can take elder pledges to appease them for 30 minutes at a time, at exponentially raising costs (and achievements for having done so once and five times), or pay 6,666,666,666,666 to completely end their wrath. Another 6,666,666,666,666 will start it up again at that point.

What does the Grandmapocalypse entail? Something !!FUN!! right?

You are so freakin' awesome. Thank you very much.
You'd better name one of the people on your station wagons "Sirus".
Don't let him get bitten!
Maybe when I get a computer that can record video I can do a Bay 12-themed Let's Play of Organ Trail. That could be sometime between now and Halloween at the earliest.

For now the only change is that you get red cookies instead of golden ones. This isn't really a bad thing.

I think more changes are planned though. In the original game elder pledges gave you a huge boost to clicking/cursors (150 cookies per click IIRC) while active.

Thanks for the information. I appreciate it. Question though, around what time do you start seeing the option for Elder Pledges?
