Do you need the blood map descriptor? I thought you just plugged the syndrome straight into the material. That might be it.

http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:Syndrome#The_anatomy_of_a_syndrome
1. SYN_IMMUNE_CREATURE (see wiki)
2. Yes, just define their blood as alcohol (see wiki section on creatures)
3. Yes, there should be no problems unless you muck something up, which the error log will catch.
4. Not my speciality, I'm afraid.
5. Lots and lots of very cool things. I can't actually remember any specifics, but things like Pokemon style evolution, something I played with once which transformed sentient species into certain enslaved varieties of themselves and so on.
I hope this helps and good luck!

Life Advice / Re: My parents are talking about putting the cat down.
« on: October 05, 2014, 05:03:43 am »
I've had two cats put down. We hung on to both as long as we possibly could. One spent his last years incredibly thin because of a hyperactive thyroid and desires not to eat. The produced almost liquid ... waste for her last years. It was awful, but we put neither down before their time and I regret nothing. Go see a vet, perhaps. But don't let the cat go before her time. Even if you have to clean up the vomit and feed her extra yourself, when her time does come you will not regret it. I'd be crying now if it weren't for the fact there is currently a cat restricting my airflow.

Vactor Updat When

I explain jokes because I am no fun. you misspelled update. Scrdest "fixed" this by misspelling when, and by alluding to a previous humorous run of comments in this thread in which Vactor was misspelled, and a new persona was born - the legendary Victor.

I was aware. I have no good stories to tell myself, but every time this thread appears Bay12 always finds new ways to surprise, amaze, delight and horrify me. Hence the PTW.

The skin on the right side of my face is perpetually flaky and weird and falls off all the time like dandruff. Why can't I just have acne like a normal teenager?

For some reason, my eyelid is hit especially hard by it, as well as the back of my left ear. I'm fine with having skin problems because that's normal, but my particular skin problems are really weird.

Is it reddened? Because you might have been hit by the wondrous gift of puberty-onset psoriasis, yaaaaay -_-
I've had this before. It's related to extremely dry skin. Which means that you probably won't get acne, but you might suffer eczema. The answer: loads and loads of moisturiser. Find one that works for you and buy it by the tub. Use a moisturising body gel in the shower. Put moisturiser on immediately after you shower, before you go to bed and once you wake up. I have skin dry enough that my family must be descended from snakes and I have a skin care collection larger than anyone I know.

That quote...
So a vote for yes. I've just tested it and it is literally one line of code. I've heard people going on about it all over the place and decided to see how hard it was. It is only EMPs who get access, by the way, although it would make sense for the CMO to get access too.
