((I don't have much to write at the moment D: ))

Obviously being a rich girl had some drawbacks.  This time it was because her shirt was of a too durable make to tear easily.  No matter how much she tugged at it, not a single piece would come off.  At the very least the sky had turned a lighter shade of slate gray than earlier, enough that Annie could try to leave her current perch and move to a better location.

Annie attempts swimming to the closest shore possible and then looks for something, anything to bind her arm with.  It's really quite unhealthy so slowly bleed to death.

"If ye can't even take ye job application seriously, how do ye expect t' capn' to take it seriously?  Yarr harr harr indeed.  Decision ain't up t' me though.  I'm just here 'n case it gets messy.  By the way, I be Lalasa the pirrate diplomat, and this here bird be Charles.  Say 'ahoy' to the carp'nter Charrles."

"Cap'n, are ye sure we can trrust this bloke?  He don't even talk like a pirrate and 'e talks a lot."

((Nooo, binoculars D:))

With her arm continuing to bleed, Annie could feel the vexation building up within her that she was unable to do even a simple thing such as rip a piece of shirt.  Even her binoculars were gone now, and they were handy too.  If only she had something sharp... anything at all.  Pointy objects would help her gut her fish too, but of course it was difficult to find anything in this damn bug-infested jungle.

"Ah... they're gone.  I wish I wasn't alone anymore... why did I come here?" she whispers, beginning to cry a little.  She couldn't feel the tears much anyway- her entire face was wt from the rain and the lake.

Annie tries to tear off her shirt again and apply it to her wound.  Leaving her arm continuously bleeding was the worst possible idea at the moment.

"Ah can't believe one o' our mateys was caught stealin' from the mayor.  At least 'e made a quite interrestin' entrance."

Meet that new crazy loon that be crawlin' 'bout the ship and make meself available to the capn'.  As a diplomat, it makes me look good t' be at location 'n case the cap'n needs me for discussin' job opportunities and health insurrrance.

"..."

Lilia allows the question hang in the air as she waits in quiet agreement.  She may not have had any seeing powers herself, but this "block" or whatever it was felt even creepier than the mansion somehow.  Brushing her hands lightly over its strangely artificial surface, a shiver curls down her spine.  This fact seems to hush her further, and she retreats into dark and gloomy thoughts about what could cause such a forbidding feeling.

As she broods, Lilia also looks around the complex to see if there even is a way into it.

Make Marisa a Spartan Berzerker please.  :P

Even though the fight's over, it still feels to me like updates are going to get more fun, especially with this new special squad.

Relief flushed Lilia's face, and she quickly grew quiet again.  It's not her style to talk all that much, so she was glad Joy accepted right away.

Lilia begins heading over to that odd gray complex, expectant of Joy to come too.

204
Hey... maybe the key is hidden somewhere?  Somewhere else?  Otherwise this looks to be a grand waste of time, and I can't have that.

Lilia steps back and looks for a second at Joy.  Maybe... maybe going completely alone was a rather stupid idea.  She'll give the lady that, there are creatures worse than other humans crawling around in this dark hole.  She may not have to take absolutely everyone with her though.

"Hey, you.  Remember that gray building we saw earlier?  Or that chapel?  I'm going to try looking for the mansion key there.  You said people should flock with each other.  So you can come, but don't take all the other people.  Big groups.... attract attention!" she spouts suddenly, flustered.  Being polite seems so difficult, and Lilia doubted she got it right.

205
"Fine.  Done?" Lilia grunts, making a mental note not to tell anyone if she thinks of something important.  No need to bring group members with parasites hugging their jaws rushing over and attracting anything of the sort this lady was blabbing about.  Besides, even if it was magic, seeing dead people everywhere is weird.  Eech!  Definitely someone Lilia wouldn't want to have contact with.

206
"If you're talking about those black lines, it's public knowledge whatever Mr. Macho over there was fighting topside had those crawling in his face.  They're down here now.  Good luck with that." Lilia says rather icily, blatantly refusing to look Joy in the eye as she tried to concentrate.  The faster that lady got tired of blubbering, the faster she could figure out a real way inside and not that stupid idea she had earlier.

Besides, she didn't like conversation.  It circled on and on, being completely pointless and tedious with monotony.  Communication was so much easier when you taught people to limit it.  Small quips of useful information were far easier to listen to than blocks that must be sorted through and expanded upon by oneself.

Open sesame, psh.  Why did I ever think that would work?  Ugh..

What am I doing?  Yelling to a wall... yeah.  I think that guy's been rubbing off on me.  I should really get a grip.
Lilia backs away from the wall for a moment and notices that she was being approached.  Whoever it was probably is going to complain about her not incredibly helpful tactics.

Instead she gets a completely different question, and one Lilia couldn't even answer or even wanted to.  Apparently no one here has heard of people going solo, or at least trying to think away from the hustle and bustle of people.

"What business?  If you're talking about 'Shaky', you'd be better off asking the King of Molemen, or at least trying to, considering his babbling is barely discernible.  I didn't see the thing at all.  What do you want?" she answers defensively, immediately putting up a guard.

She then turns around (Tact?  What's that?) and continues pondering the issue with the wall.  If she could find a way above or through it...   Harvey's digging would actually come in handy here if he could shovel beneath it... although that wasn't terribly sneaky.

i only read this and likot soapeater because i like the publishers and they are interesting stories.  if i may suggest, i love when main character gets a pet.

Dumplin already has a pet silly, we all saw how attached she is to that kobold.  :P
But in all seriousness I doubt she's in much of a position to be focusing on a pet right now.
