Why on earth do you want The Mogg in power? Organising your dream team government based on how much of their multimillion dollar fortune they’ve donated to anti-eu causes seems short sighted seeing as he’s anti-gay, anti-feminism, associated with far right groups, and a member of Cornerstone who switched to the catholics because the Church of England was beginning to smell too liberal for His Toffness

How strong are the nearby civilisations after their 400 year war against you? Have you emptied the dark fortresses?

What plot? DF has no plot. It's a sandbox world simulator. You should be able to do whatever you wish with the world.

Dwarf Fortress is a plot generator.

It’s not a railroad plot generator though

I’ve never seen someone argue that all governments exist only by the constant threat of massacring their citizens. Sounds like it would make elections awkward since the old governments right to rule is being revoked in favour of the new government whoops they’re now mandated to kill everyone.

I’m not gonna quote LW because then my post would be 99% his content, but I broadly agree, with the exception  that trying to cast 50% of the country as Fat-Cat banker elite in ivory towers is patently ridiculous and a cheap rhetorical tactic. Also he forgot the existence of the middle class entirely, but ultimately the point stands in that if you’re gonna do a multiple referendum it has to be fully defined in advance because otherwise you end up with a farcical “vote until you agree with us” situation, because the UK government are a bunch of untrustworthy bastards.

On the other hand, what is your proposed solution to the issue that 30% of MPs elected in general election disagreed with their constituents on the Brexit issue? Have the government fire all Remain MPs even though there’s been a snap election since the vote?

I’m not entirely sure what exploded, in any case. It was one of peteys city-fortress things, right?

Also what exactly allows the Panuuri to zero-in their shots against Peteys installations but he is incapable of doing himself to their galactic generator (which is just as physical presumably as his)? One of the maddening things about SM is how major technical questions like that are either red herrings that are instantly forgotten or serious r plot points

A nice, serene scene of dorfs praying in the temple.  Or an interpretation of the sweatshop workshop area where the dorfs create amazing masterpieces.

A line of angry dwarves waiting outside the temple which has an “Occupied” sign

I suppose it’s pretty late but can I claim an inhabitant? If so I’d like to  take the next person to have their citizenship approved.

We should drill down and dump a bunch of extremophiles down there, for science.

“Being unable to find Martians already existing, we decided to make our own.”

The OOTS universe is 3.5 though, not 5E. Of course though, Helgya, of all people, should have a high will save, and then there’s Minrah who somehow dodged it, maybe wasn’t in line of sight.
Or I guess they didn't bother to dominate because she's a squishy and relatively low level? Or maybe just made the saves herself

And I disagree. It is traitorous. Ask for the terms of Brexit to be altered, ask for new people to negotiate it. I may not be in agreement, but I would understand trying to get the best deal for our combined peoples.

It is by no standards whatsoever traitorous to believe that Brexit (or any momentous and deeply controversial act) is a mistake and to campaign against such, and only a madman or an imbecile could genuinely believe that. Labelling people you personally or politically disagree with as "traitorous" is a long-standing tradition in political discourse of those without any actual arguments.

or do you fantasize that everyone who thinks that it was a bad idea "doth compass or imagine the death of our lord the King, or of our lady his Queen or of their eldest son and heir"

Wordsandchaos, dwarf fortress is very intrinsically not a game you can just hop into and expect to learn normally. It’s a game where you need to read at least the basics of how to play before trying to do so, and is very much not going to hold your hand through those confusing first hours.

Durkula has encountered an error: dwarf does not compute.

I suspect that the problem is not so much running out of oxygen as succumbing to carbon dioxide accumulation.
