I had the same thing happen multiple times.  I released this Colossus for the specific purpose of rampaging and destroying my city,

but the freaking idiot kept throwing himself down channels and I kept having to dig ramps for him to get back up, even though there were doors mere feet away.  I had to save a colossus from a channel at LEAST 5 times that night, and the stupid thing never did do any real damage, just knocked over a statue before heading straight for the ONE single cage trap I hadn't deactivated.  Meh.

SO I noticed a chain of "has given birth to a litter of kittens", and I formulated a "final solution" if you will.

Is it just me, or do kittens make the finest bolts?  I hate practicing with forged bolts ... so, 65 kittens in the butcher shop and my fort is stocked for life!

ok that title doesn't quite cover it

in this video they excavate the entire ant colony for a huge colony of grasscutter ants

they actually pour cement down into the colony and build an exact model of it and then dig it out

it is SO very much like dwarf fortress that I had to post it, and the actual mold is flat out beautiful ... anyway ~

Every time I encounter hidden fun stuff my fps drops to negative 10, my processor starts smoking, and my monitor flips me off.  I've never been able to even test any defense as every time I pop the cork my computer turns into a 286 dx.

You need an animal stockpile for them to have a place to return it.  From there, butchers will take it and do the rest.

That sounds like a perfect match actually.  I've seen people do studies on social aspects of MMO's before and get credit but those games are superficial when held up to Dwarf Fortress.  Good job dude, and good luck with the class!

Both, actually.  If they cannot make it, they'll say inaccessible site, but, they won't leave right away, they'll wait at the edge until you either drop the bridge or the normal time for them to leave passes.
