My fort is experiencing some mild fun at the moment... I left on the secret fun on by accident so I have

and a Kobold thief got a lucky shot on my militia commander before he was beaten to death by my 6 military people. The Kobold managed to slice his shin open and opened an artery and he was laying there for quite a while before I realized I had to designate him as in a hospital before they would go outside to bring him into the actual hospital.. Which was set up in about 15 seconds when I realized he was injured.

 And a Pekyt makes a fantastic war animal for beginners. An immigrant brought one, and I immediately put said immigrant in the military the moment I realized he had decent skills, and so far the Pekyt has latched on to two different Kobolds' heads and has shaken them, severing the head... So really my military people just keep the Kobolds from running while the Pekyt gets there and rips their head off... The time before the most recent one my military commander (the one that got stabbed) grabbed the Kobold by the leg and snapped the joint... (i'm pretty sure it was the leg anyway) and the Pekyt just comes along and rips his head off.... So far that Pekyt has killed more than my military... Of course, there's only been three Kobolds.. :P

The most recent time a Kobold "Runs through the marksdwarf in the left hand from behind with the tip of her large silver dagger and the severed part sails off in an arc!" That marksdwarf sadly bled to death almost instantly... Sad day.. He was a decent marksman... But a crappy worker... Uh well, time for a new military man! As is the way of life. :3 I just haven't dug out a crypt for bodies yet.. So I have a

a dead marksdwarf in my stockpiles, which is currently holding EVERYTHING, a pretty good hunter and marksdwarf who happens to be my military commander that now has an opened artery and I have no way of suturing the wound or even cleaning it, and a Pekyt that keeps ripping peoples heads off.... Let's see how much fun my fort can have before everyone dies!

I would like to see a building that would change the tiles under it to soil or sand. I have a lot of pits outside from old traps that have been filled with obsidian, but now I have all these patches of stone amidst the grass and trees, which looks bad. It would also help with the digging invaders if I could undo some of the damage to the soil layer(s).

Some reactions to reverse alloying might be useful under certain circumstances. For instance if I want to upgrade from welded mithril to volcanic, but don't have enough mithril, to be able to reverse the welded mithril back into titanium and mithril would be useful.
I like the sand thingie. It would allow you to build a farm/pasture underground where ever you like.

Oh and you forgot to put an option in the poll that includes the Fletcher I think? ^^ I went ahead and voted for the fort decorating and evil stuff. I really want to make people into vampires just for the love of making arenas where I might eventually fight my dwarves if I decide to. Like the Dwarves that would otherwise be executed.. I wish there was a way to designate someone to be executed via the hammerer or have to fight to the death with a creature/person... It would be really cool I think. :)

Masterwork DF / Corrupted download using Chrome and IE

I seem to be having a problem with the download. Every time I try to extract the archive file I get some sort of error (usually involving trees.png in the stonesense file but also other files)

I have tried redownloading, using different browsers (I am open to suggestions for more browsers as I have only Chrome and IE at the moment), tried extracting using different program other than 7zip and still always corrupted. I also seem to have the misfortune of missing some files (I only have the Dwarf Fortress folder) from my understanding there should be two other folders (or files is it? I dunno) I have tried "extract here" and "extract to" and any other way of extracting I could find to no avail.

I just keep getting the damn corrupt file error. Any help what so ever (no matter how technical it gets, i'm decent enough with computers to know my way around advanced settings and what I don't know google and my brother will surely help me figure out) so if there's some settings in chrome or whatever that I have to change to get this stupid file to download then I am happy to do that. This isn't the first time this has happened, it seems to happen with any largeish file that I must download... I usually just use an alternate link but there is none for this mod, which is fine, i'm sure i'll get the file eventually.

Sorry to bother you guys about this silly problem, i'm going to continue trying to find a solution.

Edit: I would like to add I have tried deleting my download history, cache, and all other history.

Edit 2: So I was about to update this and say firefox didn't work either but.. it looks like i'll be able to enjoy the joys of this mod! ^^ (finally) Sorry about this thread being here.... :x Perhaps someone that encounters this problem will realize they should use all web browsers possible.... :P
