... almost. Almost done with the academy line and kicked the gates back on. Almost.

I am never forgetting to turn off the storyline ever again. I've done this once. I will not do it twice. Gating (ha) things as fundamental to basic transit in this game behind a mess this time consuming is just... no. No, no, nononononono don't do that aaaahhhh

Blake moves to [D, 8] and attacks Ghost Archer I.

Blake moves to [C, 14] and attacks Ghost Archer K.

7
Sverrand moves to [L, 11].

Did Artair really have to ask? The only thing she should be worrying about right now is the mission, not some petty burglar.

"Just follow me," Sverrand grunts at Artair, somehow sounding even more terse than usual.

He marches forward into the camp and sets his arms in a defensive position, then gazes at the soldiers around him, silently daring the brave to approach.

Sverrand moves to [L, 9] and holds.

Finally, their plan was in motion. So much waiting. So much standing around. When he was a militiaman, Sverrand could tolerate it. You can't really guard a town if you don't stand guard, after all. But now that he was a soldier, fighting a war? It just felt like a waste of time. He was eager to get moving, and so quickly followed Dunas' lead into the camp, staunchly at his side.

Sverrand moves to [L, 4].

"How fascinating! It appears this mysterious "CALADBOLG" has granted me the ability to peer into the unknown properties of our world, seeing things more closely than the untrained eye is capable of."

Their face bright and full of wonder, Cyenfrith gazes around at the rest of those assembled.

"Everyone, you simply must attempt this for yourselves-- Ah, er..."

Cynefrith then seems to notice the mood has turned a shade more serious, and sheepishly deactivates the setting in their menu.

"Perhaps that would be best left for another time..."

With no small amount of discomfort on his face, Blake falls upon one of the corpses brandishing a tome.

"Urgh... Back in the grave with you, if you please!"

Blake moves to [J, 14] and attacks Stormcaller B.

12
"We decide...?"

Sverrand is temporarily unsure of what to say, but he finds his composure. A good soldier follows his leader into battle, marching proudly behind him.

"The center. I'm with you."

13
Brow furrowed, Cynefrith holds up their journal for a closer examination, while setting "View Item Properties" to ON.

14
"That's quite strange," Cynefrith says, as puzzled as the rest. They flick through some of their menus, looking for options or a control panel or something of the like to explain what this "CALADBOLG" was.

"I did, in fact. But I do not recall attempting to... "install" anything. I wonder if this is some sort of, er... spell?"

Their facade is cracking, just a little, as they struggle to convincingly reconcile the event with their roleplaying.

15
Sverrand is taciturn as always while the rest of the group goes about their conversation. None of it really mattered except for what Dunas was saying. Just boasting, whinging and empty threats from petty little people, all barely below normal speaking volume. They just didn't understand the gravity of what was at stake here, it seemed. Some soldiers they were.

"I expected him to be at the front, but... He is here instead... The Scarlet Knight, Valentio..."

"... Whatever will happen... Do not engage him at any cost."

"Understood," he says. His first word in quite some time; since they'd arrived for their mission, in fact.

Sverrand held firm confidence in his own ability (what good is a soldier who doesn't think he can do his job?), but he still knew the Scarlet Knight was not an opponent that could be fought head on, and needed no convicing to avoid the man.
