Day: Unknown
I only have a little bit of time before they find me!.... Oh god it was horrible. I am hiding under a waterfall to lure them of my scent. It has been a week since the battle and i am still being hunted like a dog. They are all dead! I didn't personally see them die but it know. The vague outline of their corpses moving confirms my suspicions. I have lost track of all time and nearly of my sanity. I must write to calm my nerves.
It all started as soon as we arrived. We had been sent as reinforcements from the distress messages we have been hearing. I chose the best men i could find. Myself, my friends Highmax and the Dwarfy One, and our best crossbow Dwarves. NOW THEY ARE ALL DEAD! * the rest of the page is littered with runny ink and tear stains*
Upon our arrival we all noticed that something was wrong. I made the order for everyone to arm up. And then it all happened simultaneously. One of the WAR dogs barked and sprinted out headlong. Highmax and the dwarfy one ran to catch it. We were going to need all the muscle we could muster. No sooner had they descended down the canyon had we heard all the moaning of the dead and the cackling of the necromancers. We couldn't even arm ourselves before we had to fight.
Battle was joined we began punching and hitting and even biting. Danmanthedog made a good show of it while he still could.
Down in the canyon things were looking badly. Although my two friends were fighting bravely together they were being surrounded rather quickly. It was only a matter of time. before...
Which causes the dwarfy one to be surprised.
But once he regains his senses from the screams of the dying danmanthedog he vows vengeance on all things dead and living and procdeeds to break many many collar bones
eventually he is subdued by the ennormity of enemies before him and perishes like a true dwarf should.
From then on everything became a blurr i only saw brief glimpses of things.
Like tevish punching the jaw of a particularly large skeleton and teeth and head flying everywhere.
(that is all teeth by the way)
I remember him yelling TEN for some reason.
I remember poor Gnorm being torn apart from aaaah..... i can't bring myself to say the words. I have drawn a picture instead.
I remember fighting the body of the overseer i was supposed to help
But all of this matters not. Soon i will be dead and i will join their ranks. I will be nothing but dust in the wind. But when they find me they won't find me a broken dwarf. NO They must work harder to break me. Other dwarves will succeed where I failed. My hopes are at least that this journal will help in that manner. Learn from this before you set out. Now i must go die a dwarf!
And I know, blasphemy. Being a hammer dwarf but not being able to use a hammer? Bah!
