Kagus, good stuff! So I can only use environmental attacks on them.

Thanks for the info max!

Is there any way for me to attack the goblins?

3
Small update: Some of the other elves/dwarves/humans will get enraged and attack other elves/dwarves/humans, but this does not turn into a full-out war.

Side note: The hunters of the other civs are chasing around some wild camels! Too funny.

I started a fortress inside a goblin camp, to find goblins, elves and humans all living together inside it. They don't fight each other, and seem to live in peace. Their tag under the "u" screen is friendly.

Is this odd? Can you live with goblins and they won't attack you?

Also, a human civ yesterday sent a goblin liaison to talk to me for trading info, is this odd?

I can't use .net so is there a stand alone version of either of these programs?

Let me know, thanks!

Is there any other biome that doesn't dry up then? Or is it just moist?

I have been trying different biomes, and "moist" never seems to dry up in the first year. I haven't gone past the first year, seeing I don't have an extra computer just to let it run on, but "moist" areas may never dry up.

Ah, so don't claim them since they are bugged. Thanks!

Ah, thanks for the bridge info!

Any one have info on water drying up?

10
So dwarves never collect the bolts that are on the ground? Is there a way to force them to collect shot bolts?

I had a fort where the water never dried out. In the new fort I'm trying to make, the water in the ponds dried out in the first year, never to refill. What causes the water to dry up? They layer under the ground is sand, does this dry it up?

Also, to make a bridge, do I build it on solid land then dig under it to make a moat? They don't seem to build bridges when there is nothing under it.

thanks!

Ah, didn't hit enter on it. Now I can smelt them!

Thanks all!

13
But it seems I can't smelt items in bins? Is this correct?

14
The weapons and armor dropped by goblins do not show up as "narrow" under my stock screen, so how do I smelt them?

thanks!
