Using Notepad++
« on: August 20, 2014, 04:52:20 am »

Hiya,

I recently learned about using Notepad++ to modify raw files automatically, and I wanted to know how to do it?  What I want to do is add custom ORIENTATION tags to all of the creature entries as a work-around for bug #7651.

Thanks in advance!

If software was real world, then it'd be something equivalent of hitting a nail with a hammer and having a building collapse on the other side of town.

Don't worry people, sometimes -moments occur

Maybe replace every occurrence of [MALE] with [MALE][ORIENTATION:FEMALE:whatever:whatever:whatever] and similarly with the [FEMALE] tag?

Open up every creature file in Notepad++ and when you go to replace, there should be a button to do the replacements in every currently opened file.

Though I've no idea what the commands are for that in English, sorry.
