So, I always see (both here and on other forums) Role Playing games that take place in medieval times, the present, or far future. I thought it would be a cool experiment to see if I could run a game based in the earliest days of Homo Homo Sapiens. There will be no mages, aliens, or marines here, just cavemen. So without further ado, let the spoilers begin!
StoryYou and your four caveman friends are nomads. You have been living in a cave for the past year and as the game gets scarce it is time to move on. You are some of the first humans and deep down in your primitive minds you know that you must survive. You pack up what little supplies you have, sling them over your shoulders and prepare to leave your camp.
Like most other RPGs, there will be four skills. Each will have a rating 0-5 for each tribe member. Each time you successfully complete a task that would fit into a skill you gain one experience. For your first level up in a skill you will need 5exp, then 10, ect... (Note: You will be able to level skills above 5)
Intelligence- Ability to make fire, remember what plants are edible, ect...
Strength- Determines carrying capacity, enables caveman to lift heavy objects, ect...
Hunting- Ability to track/kill animals.
Speech- Enables basic communication, speech can evolve as the species does.
There will be five classes, and each participant will assume one of these roles. First come first serve.
Cheiftan: Obviously the leader of the group, high Speech and Intelligence. Chooses the direction of travel, distributes rations and things of that nature.
Hunter: Self explanatory. High Hunting and Strength.
Gatherer: Self explanatory. High Intelligence.
The Crazy: The Crazy was raised by wolves originally and is thus very unpredictable. This class is incapable of speech, so anyone wanting to be him/her must RP accordingly. Extremely high Strength/Hunting.
The Builder: Sets up camp, collects basic resources. Kind of your average Joe.
LandscapeNorth: Snowy Mountains
East: Barren Glacier
West: Snowy Forest
South: Dense Forest

If anyone wishes to customize a class I'm open to it.
An inventory list will be created if anyone actually signs up for this.
Combat mechanics and things like that will all be roles or GM magic.
I haven't done a lot of forum games in the past.
