Injuring babies is beneficial?
« on: February 13, 2012, 01:32:22 pm »

I've had a baby involved in an accident in my danger room a while back. Now he's grown into a child I noticed he'd finally been taken to the hospital. I've checked his status and it turns out he's now basically unbreakable, indefatigable, agile, and quick to heal.
So does time injured increase stats, or is this something else?
Also I've had another accident recently, so I may be able to find if this is a fluke.

What were his stats before the injury?

Torturing a baby turns it into a god when it grows up?
Rather odd and funny at the same time.
It might be a bug, but as for gaining stats for being injured makes no sense.

Makes me think of DBZ with the Saiyans having the ability of Zenkai which makes them more powerful as they get beaten to a pulp.
I think this is a bug, I would call it the Zenkai bug in my perspective.. :P

I can't remember, and to be honest I don't know if I even checked. I have checked my current injured baby and she is very weak at the moment, so I should be able to find out if it was a coincidence or not.

Possibly the effort of trying to crawl to the hospital made a good workout.

I believe that babies get experience if their mom trains. So if the parent wandered into the Danger Room then you will have some tough babies. :)

So, warrior mothers are not using their babies as shields, instead they are making their babies into better dwarves?

Look here baby Urist, this is how you heal a wound from a goblin's sword.
Parries goblin's sword with baby.

That makes a bit more sense. So, does that mean I should draft all new mothers into the military to train in the danger room to help their babies grow big and strong? Seems like a more efficient super soldier training program.

I don't use danger rooms any more; when I did, I found that babies are too "squishy" and so I had to drop moms from the military.

Now that I train by sparring and the occasional goblin-slaughter, I let my moms fight, fewer dead babies.
