Everybody I've talked to in adventure mode seems to crash the game with an access violation error.

Ventured into the sewers, didn't find anything but a whole load of animalman skeletons (dead, not reanimated) and an endless twisty series of passages, all alike.

The relation between the walk-around-town map and the actual areas an seem a bit disjointed, like I'm not sure how far I'm traveling, and the intersections between paths often seem unclear.

That said, the towns seem really interesting, and I look forward to exploring them in detail tomorrow when I wake up, but for now, I'm headed to bed.

Praise be to the Toad!

Yay for new version! \o/
(Too bad I have a lot of that pesky IRL stuff to do today, so no Dorfgasm until 'morrow... :( )

Certainly you could argue that DF is a lot like The Sims, only... you know... with more vomit and decapitation.
If you launch a wooden mine cart towards the ocean at a sufficient speed, you can have your entire dwarf sail away in an ark.

Thanks for the release!

Hmm, in legends mode / site history I see a lot of reports that dwarves in Mountain Halls was starved to death.

e.g.
In 116 The Wall of rights of The Celebrated Arena founded Barglazed. Then follows a lot of interesting misc event entries (in 145 there came hyena which killed some of animals and attacked one dwarf).
In 230-232 about 20 dwarves starved to death. Then in 235-243 everything is ok, and in 245-248 again about 20 dwarves starved to death. There are some Mountain Halls where nobody had starved as for now, but I haven't seen any message about dwarf died not because of starvation in Sites history. Is it ok?

Awesome! My only complaint is this didn't come out last week, when I had the week off work and could have seriously gotten stuck in :) Seriously though, great job Toady!

I was worried when I saw that mandates would now be reasonable until I realized that we could always say that we arranged the unfortunate accidents due to the nobles being suspected of vampirism.

You could have berries on the rocks and the dwarves would say it was "berry gneiss."
You should die horribly for this. And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Hell if I know.  Pretty humourous suggestion, but utterly useless in the case of roleplaying, if indeed the whole game world was one whole huge ass field of fruit.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Can't wait to try it out, thanks Toady!

E: Something to point out from a cursory look at the raws - a bark scorpion's venom in creature_bug_slug_new.txt has
Code: [Select]
[SYN_IMMUNE_CREATURE:SPIDER_CAVE:ALL] instead of what should probably be
Code: [Select]
[SYN_IMMUNE_CREATURE:BARK_SCORPION:ALL]
Also, it looks like kangaroo cheese is a thing.

It isn't a new Dwarf Fortress version until we're made to fear some kind of regular creature.  Carp, Elephants, Unicorns, Badgers, and now Mosquitos.  I've got 5 dorfBucks on the next one being plagues of groundhogs.
