Chugging along on my 14 dwarf fort,  when out of the blue I get a migrant wave.  I go into Dwarf Therapist, hit read, and look at the migrant wave.  33 dwarves! Is this normal or is this a bug.

Some migrant waves are like that.. I've seen even bigger ones.  Enjoy the added dwarfpower and draftees

Normal. There are a few work arounds like population cap in either init or d_init. Changing that may help although I've heard it doesn't so there is a way to DFhack your fortress wealth to a negative number. No migrants show up if you do that. I'm sure there are a few mods that fix it too but I don't use mods so I'm not familiar with them.
