I embarked on an evil flat area. nothing turned up for 30 secs, so I thought 'OK, this is gonna be one of those 'evil' biomes where fuck all happens'
a zombie skunk arrived, and I thought 'oh, hey, it won't be as boring as I thought. I bet skunks are killed easily' and my dog went after the skunk and tore it apart. Some zombie kangaroos entered, and I thought 'well, I hope they stay away from my dwarves'
They did, but then someone called 'Bim' I think it was, went to the caravan to get a drink. The skunk came back to life and started to chase him. he ran straight into the zombie 'roos and was killed. He came back from the dead, my dogs were killed by him, who in turn were zombified.
I began to lose track at this point, and the cat became a zombie, along with another dwarf. The 'roos were still kicking about and the skunk was hanging around my fort entrance. The dogs met the miners, and the miners tore tham a new hole. Several, actually, and lopped off the head of a dwarf. at this point, I thought it prodent to make a corpse stockpile far away from the fort entrance. Bim and the other dwarf were taken out by the miners, and the dogs came back (one headless dog, and the animated head of a dog, as well as a dog missing it's front left paw, and a zombie front left dog's paw) and as one of the dwarves was carrying a corpse to the stockpile, he threw a tantrum, tossing said corpse onto the pile, saving him some work.
The dogs killed a dwarf, who also came back, and then my miners were overwhelmed, and mr tantrum and one miner were all that was left. In a last ditch effort, I recruited the pair of them into the military to try and thin the ranks of the zombies, but it was futile. they overwhelmed the two poor dwarves and my settlement crumbled to it's end.
