Maybe they all tried to steal the same thing (instead of dividing their attention among several items)

What a strange bird. The article says it kills sheep by nibbling them to death!

RL sucks! In DF The  kea corpse  shatter your skull through your brain, bruising your hair.

I boxed a vampire with walls as a automated ambush detection system, then the kea came.

Urist mcvampire has been missing for a week.

I don't know what he means by "clumpy", but in my last fortress Giant Keas stole every piece of gear my military dropped outdoors in their fits of laziness, all in one go.  Breastplate, boots, gauntlets, shield ... what's a bird want with that stuff anyway?  Lining a mating bower?   :P

Bower birds are awesome.

They're like little dwarven birds, what with all the death and mayhem they have lining their homes.

Certainly you could argue that DF is a lot like The Sims, only... you know... with more vomit and decapitation.
If you launch a wooden mine cart towards the ocean at a sufficient speed, you can have your entire dwarf sail away in an ark.

if you want the kea to stop being "clumpy" then mod the game so they don't eat enough to survive.
