One-way friendships (31.25)
« on: February 15, 2012, 07:35:42 pm »

Aren't friendships supposed to be reciprocal by definition? I've noticed some friendships that only go one way, meaning that a dwarf who lists another dwarf as a friend in relationships (<v> <z> <r>) isn't so listed by them, usually when the non-reciprocating friend is a child. Does this seem like a bug to you?

Could be a bug, but could also be intentional. A dwarf could be one of those pestering, clingy "friends" who you absolutely detest and see no way to get rid of them ;)

I've had dwarves consider one a friend, only to have the "friend" hold a grudge against them. Funny.

Wait, did I read this right? From what I gathered, a grown dwarf considers a child his friend, but the child does not return the sentiment. Could this be a dwarven pedophile!?

That's incredibly creepy, but also funny as all hell.
