"they have things that we want".

But...that's the main casus belli used in all of human history!   ;)

Heh. And they say it's crazy we evolved from chimps.

Disregard former. 300 for the hunting party.

Hmm... Gladiatorial arenas make for good entertainment and warriors, at the cost of people.
But there's no need to do that yet (mass-killing our own would lead to tribe death).

Assign four of your best warriors to specialized squads (size 20 people each), and also make the four your honor guard. If anyone else wants to become your honor guard, let him kill one of the current honor guards to prove he is worthy of the role. Either way that goes, it makes good commanders.

Neat. +1

I would also like to see some special archers but we'll flesh that out when the hunters return. I want to make the best archer the leader of the archers. I want to call our super archers like arrow knights or something.

Also I was thinking the people in the thread could whip up character sheets and govern when we have plots of land  and vassalages to govern and oversee.

Kar'gul had waited months for the proper time to approach Thauldar. He had been perfecting the art of horticulture on his quiet patch of land, producing food for the local villages in abundance, when the initial Teoxton attacks upended his life.

He took to the bushes after nearly being run down by soldiers, living off the land, and collecting the seeds from local plants for a later date. He stayed on the outskirts of the camp, watching the unease over the gradually decreasing supply of food. When he saw the hunting parties leave, he knew it was time to move. He slowly approached the camp, arms up in a sign of peace, shouting "Food! I can make your fields produce more food than you will know what to do with!"

Name: Kar'gul the Verdant
Age: 27
Background: An expert farmer displaced by the chaos in the region, he hopes to trade his skills at food production into a position of influence with the Teoxton

Kar'gul sighs, trying to calm his nerves as the deadly looking soldiers approach. "I have no weapons. I come in peace. Take me to your leader." As they roughly twist his arm around behind his back, he winces slightly, but he quickly regains his composure and tries to walk with dignity as he is escorted into the camp.

Thauldar watches two burly soldier drag a fellow covered in dirt through the threshold to his longtent and slam him down into the dirt. Through gritted teeth Thauldar says "My men tell me you were armed with not an axe nor dagger but a trowel. Spit out your reasons for coming here quickly lest I become jaded with looking at you, wretch."

No harm intended, just thought we could do a little RP while waiting for another update. Will wait for nrdl to approve/disapprove.

rp is good and all but rping the main guy is the story, now if u were the super farmer and some random guardsman on the perimeter that would be different. he could incorporate it into his next post if he so chose or it could just be a little side story the leader never knew happened.
