The adventure needs continuing, no matter how old 2012 is, it's still the best adventure story I heard of.

You know, this story really warms my heart. Seems like most adventurers get killed over really silly misunderstandings, but the fact that a strapping young fellow like Vanod can go hiking around an exotic island in the nude and make such delicious friends out of the natives is truly inspiring.

Aye. Next DF update I'm gonna be sorely tempted to dive into .42.06 with a Monster Island world. Well, ahem, with some modifcations due to bugs ( http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/mantisbt/view.php?id=9151 ) first.

It no longer works as-is, without modding. See the issue I linked to in my post above.

Basically, you need to fuck with some things or the end result will be a legends-only world.
