Changing Mental Attributes/Personality via Syndrome
« on: February 25, 2012, 09:17:35 am »

Suppose, hypothetically, I wanted to make a syndrome that made creatures apathetic and disinterested in life. I see, looking at the vampire raws, that one can use [CE_PHYS_ATT_CHANGE] to change physical attributes via syndrome/interaction - is there anything similar I can do for mental attributes? There's no [CE_MENT_ATT_CHANGE] or similar listed on the wiki.

Failing that, can I make mental attributes rust really quickly?

I'm trying to represent Echo Bazaar style soullessness - a general decrease in motivation, willpower, creativity, appreciation of beauty, sense of disconnection, and lack of emotion are the order of the day. I'm pretty sure I can't actually change personality traits on the fly, as cool as that would be, but can I fudge it somehow?

If I use a transformation to turn someone into a "soulless dwarf" creature with different personality ranges, will that change their personality as displayed?
