For this Roll to Dodge, there are different rolling rules.
1: Epic failure - It has no effect... in fact, it has a negative effect on you.
2: Failure - It has little to no effect... You need to do better than that.
3: Partial Success - It's not very effective, but at least it does
something.
4: Success - You manage to pull through with your action. Good job!
5: Epic Success - It's effective! You might get something more out of it too.
6 - Legendary - It's super effective! You definitely get something more from your action.
Rules:
1) Legendaries cannot be caught because they are the gods that keep the realm in balance. However, if a legendary is encountered, depending on the roll, you may get a blessing or a curse from them.
2) If all PokeMon in a player's party faints, it is considered to be 'GAME OVER' for that player.
3) Effectiveness of certain moves will be taken into account. For example:
a) If a Psychic-type move is used against a Dark-type PokeMon, that move will have no effect (-5 on roll, No Damage).
b) If a Dark-type move is used against a Psychic type PokeMon, that move will be super-effective. (+1 on roll, x2 Damage)
Other such things will be taken into account. Be sure to choose your moves wisely!
4) Attributes of PokeMon will be randomly determined (eg. Gender, Ability, Nature, etc.) unless specified, in which case it is another roll. For example: ____ wants a female Pidgey with Keen Eye. ____ must roll a 4 or higher to succeed in finding one. A 6 may give ____ a shiny.
5) PokeMon that need to evolve via trading have another option available - A "Trading Stone" may be purchased at stores. Other evolutionary stones will have a "Trading Template" that can be added onto them for an additional price.
6) PokeMon that need to evolve via happiness must have a happiness score of 10 before they can evolve. Happiness can be obtained by:
a) Battling, albeit this is the slowest way.
b) Battling with happiness items, which is slightly quicker.
c) Taking a day in town to raise the happiness of one PokeMon by one point.
7) In a given day, a player may search for PokeMon or items on Routes up to five times (4 hours each). If they want to stretch it up to six times, the trainer will take fatigue penalties for the next day. (-2 to all actions, if 3 1's are obtained the trainer falls asleep.) The trainer
must sleep the next night or it will be GAME OVER.
The nature of the PokeMon just defines their personality - there will be no stats attributed to the PokeMon other than HP, just die rolls depending on level, power and effectiveness.
