What should I do with all this crap?

I wandered into a Cave awhile ago, and emerged with tons of animal bones and skin. I plan on throwing the bones, and I think throwing a Giant Cave Crocodile Skull will be my "signature" but I want to know if I can sell the skin to be turned into leather for me, because I want some Giant Cave Croc Leather Armor?

You can sell the skin and buy leather clothing, but unless the vendor already has cave croc leather armor/clothing, that won't happen.

You could leave the skin in a night troll lair (so it doesn't rot), start a fort on the site, and set up a tanner and leatherworks as the first thing you do, then abandon the site and have your adventurer go claim his new armor.
