famous last words
« on: March 09, 2012, 12:10:14 am »

I had 2 within 5 minutes of each other. "I wish the goblins would attack", and "I'm sure nothing will happen while I'm in the bathroom". What are yours?

I suggest that we add a clause permitting the keelhauling of anyone who suggests a plan involving "zombify the crew".

From a long time ago; "Hmm, bridges support constructions right? I'm sure the game wouldn't let me try if they didn't."
Then another time with out checking to make sure there was a solid floor under the drop zone; "Let me just use a quick, controlled cave-in to clear out all these levels at once."

I just realized two things. 1. For the Win and F___ the World have the same initials. 2. They have the same meaning in Dwarf Fortress.

That FB's made of ice; I'm sure it will blow itself against the wall and shatter on its first deadly dust attack. If not, ice isn't that tough, and my marksdwarves will take it down easy.

"If I bring 2500 granite boulders with me, I should be able to erect a wall between me and the evil part of my embark site before the undead attack."

Note: It was zombie giant wrens that attacked. Walls were effectively irrelevant; those putrid rotting corpses could fly.
