The last surviving Dorf was the mayor. He was broken, dehyrdrated, starving and crawling away from the undead mussel shell army. That'll teach him for mandating the construction of bloody bracelets when the fortress is being overrun. 

I was just reading this thread while my fortress died without me.

Edit: He even had the audacity to die of thirst!
