Turn 0:Raid War horns blast and the people gathered for the execution begin to panic. From the raised platform in the town square where the execution was about to take place the priest shouts out above the roar, "My fellow men, the demons brethren have come to free him, to arms. We must fight for the gods above, take up arms are save your souls!" Even as he attempts to rally the people arrows rain down on the town square and the priest is shot down. Blood begins to run on the cobblestones and in the peoples panic to escape many are oblivious to the sound of marching echoing from outside the central towns meager walls. The towns guard rush towards the wooden gates just as the are bashed by some large force outside, they bend and crackle but hold.
The town square isn't a large spot and it also serves as the only trading part of town. Despite the smaller population of the town, the square is still packed with people. Outside of the palisade walls is a spattering of clusters of houses and larger farms, though you can already see spirals of smoke. Past the fields is nothing but forest for 3 days journey at the least.
Hadrian-BDthemag The sudden attack startles you from your view point in the second story room of the tavern where you have spent the last few days. An arrow embeds itself in the window frame and you step back quickly. You are in one of three rooms on the second story, one being the tavern owners room and the other a room like yours. There is a single bed, a burnt out fireplace and an old wood chair. You grab your few belongings quickly.

The demon begins to struggle and the iron bonds holding it bound begin to twist under the force. Grabbing your helmet from under your arm you notice a tiny red cubic crystal sitting on the ground. Picking it up as you pull the helm on you ready yourself for the next wave of the attack.

From your room in the upstairs of the tavern you hear the sound of war horns followed by screaming and glass breaking. Looking outside you see arrows raining down of the town square. There is two others rooms in the upstairs of the tavern and you remember one belonging to the tavern owner. Your room is barely furnished with just a bed, small desk, and a chair. You gather your items quickly into your traveling bag and momentarily wonder if your horse which was stabled outside the gates is still alive. You take a moment to look at the crystal you collected after the crystal rain and briefly wonder if they have any part.

Iron Banded Walking staff Standing to the side of the platform, you are so focused on what the local priest is calling a demon that you barely notice the arrows scrape the stones around your feet. A man bashes into you and suddenly you take in the surroundings. The priest lays dieing upon the podium and reaches towards you. You hurry to him and just as his final breath leaves him he hands you a black and white banded crystal. The demon on the platform begins struggling to get free and seems extremely intent on the crystal the priest gave you, yet his eyes contain a hint of fear for the crystal.

Inside is the stockpile of all the best weapons and armor the family has made over the years, kept in the back since in such a small and remote town weapons rarely sell. Nonetheless you consider yourself an excellent blacksmith and there are many fine pieces. You grab the gem that fell down the chimney and into the coals on the day of the crystal rain, a small black flecked red crystal in the shape of a birds egg.

Standing at the back of the crowd you watch helplessly as arrows fall on the panicking peasants, war horns sounding in the distance. You turn around and look at the main gates just as they are bashed from the other side, a cloud of dust blows off them and you can hear wood crack.
