My god this topic is awesome. I'm building a bee tower inside my mug megaproject on top of my volcano. They'll be inside the 'walls' and handle of the mug, and the inside of the mug will be filled with magma. I shall have a giant mug filled with magma and bees.

Is there a way to mod the bee sting?
Check the file named creature_insects.txt.  There are lines for pain and swelling that you can mod, although I have no idea what the parameters mean.  You might check the modding forum.  I can't believe no one has "weaponized" the bees.   :P

You want to have some fun with beestings? Go check out the raw he told you to check, and find the syndrome. Change ce_swelling to ce_bleeding. Bust the intensity up for it, to say, 500. Maybe change swelling to paralysis, that'd show em.

Heres the wiki page, it's actually pretty easy to do. http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/Syndrome

So, bee stings equals incredibly rapid exsanguination and paralysis? Bring on the goblins, I've got some new toys. >:-)

Mod bee stings to cause the body parts to separate. Or maybe necrosis in the limb affected?

That should be a new type of project, making a rug design in dwarf fortress (With accurate coloring)

I thnk at that point you're talking about a vorpal, flying brown recluse.

Make sure to replace the stinger material with steel. Armor is nothing to the power of ULTRABEE.
