New version, new poll! (34.06 poll is here., 34.11 here).

Fixed:
(fix annouced on III 27) Bug #3708: Ghost names that can't be engraved on a slab and nameless slab engravings
(fix annouced on III 28) Bug #5595: Undead dwarf contracted were-chameleon curse (result in cloning any partial corpses which get infected)
(fix annouced on III 28) Bug #1609: Immigrant dwarves' skills often don't match their job settings

Removed from poll:
Bug #4856: Immortal Dwarf (... Yet unconcious) [or any other creature] (0 votes)
impossible mandates like blue jay tooth etc - bug #1623 due to strange preferences (wagon wood - bug #3676 etc) (1 vote)

Added to poll:
Bug #4299: Some events can't be zoomed to (from announcements menu) even though they have a definite location

Oh, I finally found option "Allow users to change vote" (edit: what changes nothing).

Dwarf Fortress: The only game where people will hold a logical discussion about why dwarves are putting on clothes.
OK, I have to reload the save.
There was a bit of a problem regarding flashfreezing, a ballistae, and a barrel of dwarven ale. Gonna fix it up.

Dunno if job priority or no-zooming is worse.. oh well job priority means I'll have to tab to DT, so yeah, this! :)

Usually I mind more about "pain to do" bugs than about bugs where my dorfs die for no reason. Heh, funny.

Hmm, how do I view results of older polls?

Ditto.  Most other bugs I see as important have workarounds, but this bug kills one whole leg of my food supply system.

My current fort is only at around year 4 or 5 now and I've been seeing "0 Fish" in my status/stocks screen for about a year (except for when I buy some from traders).  This wouldn't be so bad if I just had some lakes, which I could understand if they got fished out, but I also have an aquifer, a river, and the freaking ocean available to me.

I dunno, perhaps the ocean is too far from my fortress entrance.  I'll try digging out a route over to the ocean for my dwarves and set that as a fishing zone to see if it helps, but I still find it hard to understand how my dwarves managed to overfish my river to the point where everything upstream is also extinct.

I would reiterate my concern from the last thread that not enough Adventure Mode players see this thread. 

Deleting it all and starting again after just one version, where most of the bugs were not addressed, seems a little much, and may wind up with many people thinking that since they voted once, it'll stay up for more than just a week or so.

I have no idea how to change this, but maybe there is way more fortress mode players than adventure mod players?

It may be a good idea to keep this thread for longer time.

I'm gonna go with whips being overpowered. Seems like it'd be simple to fix (just a raw edit) and it's what affects my forts most out of all those.


Sure I can nerf them myself, but hey. Vanilla needs to be balanced too.

Voted infinite reanimating zombies.

Evil areas resurrecting the dead is an awesome and !!fun!! new feature, and I'd love to play with it more. Unfortunately, eventually there are too many zombies and it leads to a zombie chain reaction of sort where every single merchant, migrant, ambusher, and sieger that shows up becomes a zombie. Soon you've got 300 zombies shuffling around sapping your FPS worse then anything else, and it's nearly impossible to get rid of them.

Actually I think that zombies should "rot" and "disappear" over time. -> Perfect and "realistic" solution. Maybe it should be added as a RAW option as well, so we could even modify the time required for zombies to rot.

*edit* even better: Zombie rots -> becomes skeleton [if the creauture had bones] -> the skeleton looses "health" periodically and dies within a given amount of time.
