Well. It's good to know I can draw better while drunk than I could while sober a month ago. Much faster, too.

Thank you to everyone who kept coming back to post requests. I accomplished my goals here, and expect to start my suggestion game on Monday.

Posting in my art thread just to say thanks feels strange. Have a WIP of the evoker to pad this post out.

Also, yay for being a trendsetter.

Thanks for sharing with us and glad it worked. 'Twas an amusing month.

Nirur's Art Thread, Round 2: Jan-Feb 2013
« Reply #107 on: January 03, 2013, 07:44:56 pm »

Revivify!

A new year means more art! Yes! This time around I'll be drawing either 40 pictures or until the end of February, whichever comes later.

By the end of February, I hope to be able to to regularly draw pictures that are entertaining. It would be nice to be able to draw backgrounds that don't detract from the rest of the picture, in a reasonable time frame. I will try to avoid any more standing idle poses, unless it's a complicated character. Reading back: hopefully there will be less excuses and maybe I'll manage to cram old requests into other pictures somewhere.

I'll spend at most two days per picture, but reserve two days for each telephone comics art turn I take.

Fat cyborg kobold. Doing, holding, and/or eating something, I'm sure.

Cyborg cuttlefish overlord. Possibly looming over his kobold or cybold minions.

Huh, never considered giving it a body.

Speaking of which, you seem to have forgotten the spearholder's. :3

As for what's next... dunno, perhaps a scene from whatever you've enjoyed playing most/last?

Cataclysm!

I was working on a different one, but it wasn't very funny, and then something far more comic-worthy happened in my game.

I lol'd. Did you at least stop to loot his brutalized corpse? :P

Also, I think the problem with your dramatic de-caping is that the shape and motion lines are too uniform. There isn't really a sense of one side being tossed back or anything, it's just a perfectly even parachute deployment or something.

Speaking of which, if eldritch abominations don't work for your next one, Batbold posing dramatically with his cape in a dynamic position?

Digging's a lot like surgery, see -- you grab the sharp thing and then drive the sharp end of the sharp thing in as hard as you can and then stuff goes flying and then stuff falls out and then there's a big hole and you're done. I kinda wish there was more screaming, but rocks don't hurt so I guess it can't be helped.

It is now my time in telephone comics. I was going to make a quick ten minute sketch to try to get some sort of posting rhythm, but it turned into 25 minutes. Bah I say.

I guess it sorta counts, maybe? Not really posing, but still.
