Where all the Necros at?

I never have any towers in my worlds. I also like to play worlds from year 10  until I get bored of them. Do necros only get generated in later years? Will they spring up as time goes on? Im in year 20 in my first 2012 world.

Posting to remind self to necro this thread in a year or so.

As for your question, I believe you need to let worldgen run a bit longer for necromancers to settle.
More civs/larger worlds is also said to be of help.
My current medium region world ended worldgen in the year 250. It has 0 necromancer towers :(

necro: first someone must get old enough to start fear death and search for the secret of immortality, then he has to gather at least 50 zombies with him while avoid being killed. 20 years worldgen makes that a very unlikely event. I once ran a large world for 1050 years and there were necromancer towers everywhere.

I actually find it much easier to find towers on small worlds. With the smallest world settings, I've gotten up to 4 towers with a 250 year history.
