Is it possible to set up a system a lot like the GCS harvesting factory where instead of webs, it's poison gas/extract/etc and it sprays onto weapons when the dwarf (hopefully blind(or military)) is safe behind two rows of fortifications? and the weapons are in the line of fire, and then to stop dwarves from dying by walking through the poison to collect the weapons, wash down the room therefore cleaning the place from poison, but still keeping the poison on the weapons?

tl;dr will water wash the poison off the weapon?
I think it does, also, swimming trough water that has a smear of the venom in it does not induce the effects.

Oh wait, i forgot about SYN_CONTACT and SYN_INJECTED
I wont bother testing the other two, those are pretty obvious.

I don't know if weapons covered in contact or inject syndromes can actually infect their victims, but it certainly would be interesting to find out.

Injected venoms do not spread the syndrome, tested in .31

Really, what it means is that a kind of elemental sponge creature should be modded with a %chance for element type and % chance for syndrome. All weapons when forged are to be stabbed into the sponge by dispensible recruits, coating the weapon in say firey blood, or acidic slime, or...LIGHTNING GOO. Which may also have a syndrome.

Lol what a joke. Someone chain a dragon up, break all of it's limbs and stab it for it's valuable killblood.

God, now i have the mental image of a barracks with a sponge in the middle, 50 swords sticking in it and 50 dwarves rushing for their swords :3
This could very well be modded to be like this tough.
You cant have lightning goo, sorry. (unless its the main blood, but you can only have one kind of blood)
