Knowing you, you'd probably use adamantine hammers.

Because the dwarf blood can get mixed with the boiling blood contaminating it, therefore making the weapons useless. Think about it.
This.
As stated in the post, if you slash with a weapon that has a venom spatter on it, it can easily be spattered with the blood, rendering it syndrome-less.
Ofcourse, the blood can be refreshed, so no big problems.

Just make a squad with one elite slasher in it with a poisoned/burning adamantine sword and save him until needed..

+You could still use it on Colossi/Non-sloppy monsters w/o losing the syndrome..

amg burning/melting sword vs colossi = bronze slushy?

Dragonblood heats the weapon to magma heat. Even if it gets covered, the heat remains. I also believe it burns out other contaminents...i may have made that up.

Something... intresting just happend.
I had slashed a subject that refused to become unconscious.
So i had to attack him, i am careless just move in his direction, biting the head.
After wich I myself go unconcious.
So there may be some implications concerning these kind of attacks.
Anyway, to above, i am actualy USING a colossus for my venom atm :3
Undirected vapor attack, i position him on a stack of 100 swords and have him vapor a bit, then i encase him in rock.
Dragon testing will be done soon. dragon blood seems very intresting to work with.
EDIT:
Also, earlier 'tests' (or maniacal no-purpose arena sessions(like 1000 kittens against a bc)) tell me that colossi melt in magma.

Dunno. Does cause 'fire' damage to things hit with it, sets fire to clothes, stockpiles, sparring partners if they have clothes etc

pfft, just go on arena and spawn a colossus in the magma.

If he melts, the sword should do the same... By your theory anyway.

Why not just chain the dragon up on a killing floor.  Which I understand to be a misnomer, as it's more of a grate that lets fluid sluice through to be collected and exported.

and dump weapons -10z levels under the dragon? Hm,
   _ = floor
   - = grate
   = = hatch
   D = Dragon

    D
__ - ___
__   __
__
__
__
__=___
__
__    ___
_______

The hatch so that dwarves don't get scared away by the dragon when collecting the weapons.

50☼ says it won't work
Original tests say that it DOES work o-o
I'm not sure yet tough, could have to do with a random burst of steam that came from a pillar i encased a bc in.
(lolwut?)

EDITEDITEDIT:
MAJOR BREAKTROUGH.
[SYN_INJECTED] venom CAN be transferred by stabbing using swords. (implying that the venom has [ENTERS_BLOOD])
100% confirmed!

*silent*

Wait. i just proved LW wrong
